Annual Meeting and Election of the Board of Directors for 2012

The nominating committee has received nominations for the board of directors for 2011. We will be posting bios of the candidates on the website shortly. If anyone still has an interest in running for any board of director position contact Jacqui Hopkins at: jacquiqq@yahoo.com There are currently candidates for all positions. Positions include: President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Pistol Director Shotgun Director Director at large We still do not have anyone running for Shotgun Director.   A notice will be sent out to members when the bios are posted as well as the positions they are running for. Deadline to submit your nomination is December 4, 2011.  The slate of officers will be posted on the website by December 6, 2011.

Topics include Safety issues and rules, use of the trap facilities, future development of shotgun programs. Anyone unable to attend this meeting, please submit any questions or suggestions you have to dian@wickenburgsportmensclub.com.  We will follow up with the trap group on Wednesday December 7, 2011. 

The outcome of this meeting will be posted here as well as on the Trap Field.

Nominating Committee looking for candidates

December 10, 2011 is WSC Annual Meeting and Election of Officers.  If anyone is interested in running for a position of the Board of Directors, please contact Jacqui Hopkins at: jacquiqq@yahoo.com or phone (270) 348-3311. Jacqui is on the nominating committee and wants to get the slate of candidates with a short bio of each candidate to send out to the membership by the 1st of December.  Board Positions include Officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Directors: Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, and Director at Large.

According to our Lease with the Town of Wickenburg and Wickenburg Sportsmen's Club By-laws, officers must reside within a 20 mile radius of Wickenburg.  Directors can be any member of The Club in good standing and be available at least 6 months out of the year.

Rotary Club held their meeting at
Wickenburg Sportsmen's Club
Bill Valencic, Presdient and Dian Valencic, Secretary were the hosts to members of the Rotary Club on Tuesday Nov. 15, 2011. 

Bill and Dian were invited to do a presentation about WSC in September. The enthusiasm of the Rotary members lead to a request to hold their meeting at WSC and tour the facilities.   The 30 - 40 Rotary members were present were impressed with our facilities.  Thanks to Kevin Cloe, Rotary member and Wickenburg Sun Editor, for providing the photo.
